Last year, the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS) was proud to champion, help introduce and endorse the inaugural Glioblastoma (GBM) Awareness Day. GBM Awareness Day was launched with an official, bi-partisan resolution that was approved by the United States Senate. Glioblastoma is a disease that all should care about. It can strike men, women, and children of any age, background and walk of life. It does not discriminate on gender, socioeconomic status, region, age or political party.
This year’s GBM Awareness Day, being held on July 22nd, 2020 will not only raise much needed public awareness about the toll this disease takes, but will leverage support for research, the development of new and better treatments, and care for patients and their families. To further recognize GBM Awareness Day, NBTS will be hosting a Scientific Summit to discuss issues and topics surrounding this terrible disease.
